Company Description
Kinexcs is an AI driven digital health and wearables company on a mission to enable and empower people for mobility and a better quality of life. We focus on reducing the burden of musculoskeletal conditions by building products that help clinicians and patients assess movement, monitor progress, and improve outcomes through technology enabled workflows.
KIMIA Assess is Kinexcs web based digital musculoskeletal assessment platform that uses AI and computer vision to guide and analyse movement assessments across multiple body regions and clinical use cases. It supports structured pre consultation assessments and gives step by step guidance during assessments so patients can perform movements correctly with minimal clinician supervision.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong React and TypeScript depth who can ship production web features that use computer vision outputs (MediaPipe landmarks and confidence signals) to compute range of motion and related movement metrics inside the application. You will improve the reliability, performance, and real world robustness of these assessment workflows across different devices and clinic environments.
This role is primarily focused on frontend engineering, with additional responsibility to contribute to backend APIs, database management, data validation, and overall system reliability when needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to completion.
Frontend engineering (React, TypeScript)
- Build efficient, reusable, scalable UI components and product flows in React and TypeScript.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality, maintainable code.
- Design responsive interfaces that work reliably across clinic environments and varied devices.
- Debug and optimise performance across browsers (Chrome, Edge) and device profiles.
- Participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and uphold engineering standards.
- Write and maintain unit tests for critical logic and UI flows.
Computer vision model application (MediaPipe)
- Build and refine application logic that converts real-time MediaPipe landmarks into movement analysis metrics.
- Improve robustness and handle edge cases such as low confidence signals, partial visibility, inconsistent camera placement, and poor lighting.
Full stack delivery (Python, AWS, PostgreSQL)
- Integrate frontend features with backend APIs and shared services.
- Contribute to backend implementation when required, including Python endpoints, validation, and error handling.
- Improve data correctness and reliability for assessment capture and reporting workflows.
- Work with PostgreSQL data models and queries as needed for product features and investigations.
- Add lightweight logging, telemetry, and debug tooling to speed up customer issue resolution.
Engineering productivity (AI tools)
- Use AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) to accelerate implementation and unit test creation, with strong review discipline.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years building production web applications, with strong React and TypeScript depth.
- Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Solid experience with the modern React ecosystem and state management patterns (e.g., Redux, Context API, Hooks).
- Familiar with design systems like Tailwind CSS, Chakra UI, or similar frameworks to accelerate development and maintain visual consistency.
- Proven experience shipping frontend heavy products where performance and reliability matter.
- Experience using computer vision model outputs in web applications, preferably MediaPipe, for real user workflows.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across logic, performance, and browser or device behaviour.
- Comfortable working full stack when needed, including Python backend APIs on AWS and PostgreSQL data layers.
- Strong ownership, communication, and ability to operate in a lean team.
