Role Description

AICines is looking for a strong Full Stack Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team on-site in Hyderabad. This is a hands-on product engineering role for someone who can build and scale user-facing features as well as backend systems for an AI-first video platform.

You will work across the stack to design, develop, and maintain core parts of the AICines platform, including creation workflows, media pipelines, social/product features, monetization flows, and AI-powered experiences. You will collaborate closely with product, design, AI, and backend teams to ship reliable, secure, and scalable software in a fast-moving startup environment.

We are specifically looking for candidates who are well versed in the AICines tech stack and comfortable working in systems that combine modern web engineering, cloud infrastructure, AI integrations, and media workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable frontend features using React, TypeScript, Vite, Redux Toolkit, and Tailwind CSS.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python, FastAPI, SQLModel, and Alembic.
• Work with PostgreSQL, PgBouncer, and Redis to build performant, production-grade systems.
• Integrate and manage AI/media workflows across providers such as OpenAI, Gemini, FAL, Runway, and other generative AI platforms.
• Build secure and reliable services for authentication, payments, content workflows, and creator tools.
• Work with AWS services such as S3 and CloudFront, and contribute to deployment/infrastructure workflows using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, observability, and user experience across frontend and backend systems.
• Debug production issues, write clean and testable code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on full stack software development experience.
• Strong experience building production web applications end to end.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture.
• Strong backend development experience with Python and API-driven systems; FastAPI experience is highly preferred.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and database-backed application design.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD-based development and deployment workflows.
• Strong understanding of scalable system design, debugging, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment with ownership, speed, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on AI/ML product integrations, especially generative AI applications.
• Familiarity with media, video, streaming, creator, or content platforms.
• Experience with observability, logging, and production monitoring.
• Exposure to payment systems, subscriptions, and monetization workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
