We are seeking a
Lead Full Stack Developer who combines strong technical expertise with leadership capability, product thinking, and a startup‑oriented ownership mindset. This role requires someone who can
lead the team technically and functionally, guide end‑to‑end execution across the SDLC, and also dive in as an
Individual Contributor when needed to solve complex problems.
The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who takes initiative, thinks creatively, and contributes ideas—not just code. This role demands the ability to work autonomously, collaborate with clients, and ensure delivery excellence with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead the full stack development efforts using Node.js, React + TypeScript, and SQL/Postgres.
- Guide architectural decisions, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices across the team.
- Provide hands-on mentorship to developers on technical design, problem-solving, and implementation.
- Drive system design discussions, evaluate trade-offs, and recommend scalable, maintainable solutions.
Full Stack Engineering
- Architect, build, and optimize backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using Node.js.
- Develop modular, high-performance front‑end features using React with TypeScript.
- Design, maintain, and optimize relational database models and SQL/Postgres queries.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Functional Leadership & SDLC Ownership
- Lead the team through all phases of the SDLC—requirements, design, development, testing, release, and post‑release support.
- Deep dive into business needs to align solutions with functional objectives.
- Translate high-level product requirements into detailed technical plans, tasks, and roadmaps.
- Anticipate risks, raise call-outs early, and ensure smooth execution across sprints.
Startup Mindset & Ownership
- Take full ownership of modules, outcomes, and quality.
- Work independently with minimal guidance while coordinating seamlessly with internal teams and clients/customers.
- Bring proactive suggestions, creative solutions, and continuous improvement ideas.
- Solve technical and functional dependencies independently with strong problem‑solving intuition.
AI-Driven Development
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude is mandatory.
- If not experienced, AI adaptability from Day 1 is required.
- Leverage AI tools for:
- accelerated development
- code generation & refactoring
- documentation & test creation
- exploring alternate solutions
- Support the team in adopting AI-assisted workflows responsibly and effectively.
Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the primary technical interface for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly, provide transparent status updates, and ensure alignment across business and engineering.
- Facilitate discussions, drive clarity in requirements, and guide decisions with confidence.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development.
- Strong expertise in:
- Node.js (API development, microservices, asynchronous programming)
- React + TypeScript
- SQL/Postgres (schema design, optimization, performance tuning)
- Solid understanding of system architecture, design principles, and scalable application patterns.
- Proven experience leading teams technically while also acting as a hands-on IC.
- Experience owning features end‑to‑end in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership capabilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Familiarity with caching (Redis), queueing systems, or event-driven architectures.
- Exposure to DevOps, observability, and automated testing frameworks.
- Prior experience in startup or product-led teams.
