About the Role
FCSD (Ford Customer Service Division) operates as a global one-stop solution for Diagnostics, Repair, and Service capabilities supporting a full portfolio of Electrified, Hybrid, and Internal Combustion vehicles.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer (React) who will provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across multiple product lines. The role focuses on building scalable, high-performance frontend platforms while collaborating closely with product teams to deliver industry-leading digital solutions for commercial customers.
You will work in an Agile environment, contribute to cloud-native platforms, and play a key role in delivering Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) through iterative development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex React-based frontend components supporting Micro Frontend (MFE) architecture.
- Write high-quality, scalable, and clean code using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple product lines within FCSD.
- Design and deliver industry-leading digital products and services to improve customer productivity and experience.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, designers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance and reliability.
- Ensure software engineering best practices, code quality, and architectural standards across the product line.
- Assist product teams in resolving technical blockers and architectural challenges.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and pair programming sessions.
- Contribute to technology strategy, roadmap planning, and platform architecture decisions.
- Promote Agile development practices and engineering excellence across teams.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in React.js development
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks
- Experience building reusable frontend components and scalable UI architectures
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and digital architecture
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Hands-on knowledge of GCP Cloud Run
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Experience with Tekton CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Apigee API Management
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with progressive responsibilities
- Experience in Frontend Architecture, Cloud Platforms, and Agile frameworks
- Experience delivering highly available, consumer-facing internet applications
