Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to lead the development of responsive, high-performance user interfaces for UniSouk's SaaS platform. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to build seamless user experiences that delight our customers and support rapid product growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, test, and maintain scalable frontend code using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React.js / Next.js).
- Translate UI/UX designs and prototypes into high-quality, responsive web interfaces.
- Ensure performance optimization, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and responsiveness across platforms.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and data services efficiently.
- Mentor mid-level and junior frontend engineers, drive code reviews, and foster a culture of quality engineering.
- Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve our development processes.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing features for scalability and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development with significant hands-on expertise in React.js (or equivalent modern frontend frameworks Next.js) with TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS and frontend build tools.
- Strong expertise in state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand), with efficient data modeling and experience using component libraries.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode) to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and API integration patterns.
- Understanding of responsive design principles, performance optimization, and cross-platform compatibility.
- Experience with version control systems (Git), and working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong understanding of client-side rendering (CSR), server-side rendering (SSR), and static site generation (SSG).
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Prior experience working on SaaS products or e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud integrations.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
