Role Description

This is a Work from Home, Project-Based FREELANCING role for a Senior Frontend Developer at Preproute.

We are looking for an experienced frontend developer who has strong hands-on expertise in React.js, TypeScript, UI Development, API Integration, session management, caching and frontend architecture. The ideal candidate should be capable of taking ownership of the project, understanding the requirements quickly, and delivering high-quality work with accuracy, efficiency, and minimal hand-holding.

The Frontend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing user-friendly, responsive, and scalable web interfaces. Key responsibilities include translating design mockups into clean and maintainable code, integrating frontend screens with backend APIs, implementing smooth UI interactions, improving performance, handling user sessions and protected flows, and ensuring a seamless user experience across devices and browsers.

The role requires someone who can work independently, collaborate with the team when required and contribute to building a reliable and student-focused digital platform for Preproute.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Frontend Development using React.js and TypeScript, with the ability to build scalable, clean and maintainable frontend applications.
• Proven experience in UI Development, including creating engaging layouts, reusable components, responsive designs and pixel-aligned user interfaces.
• Practical experience with API Integration, including working with REST APIs, handling authentication, managing loading and error states and connecting frontend screens with backend services.
• Strong understanding of UI interactions and user flows, with the ability to implement interactive elements such as dropdowns, modals, forms, filters, tabs, hover states, validations, dynamic components and smooth user actions.
• Strong knowledge of session management, caching and frontend data handling, including managing user sessions, tokens, local/session storage, cache invalidation, protected routes and maintaining smooth application performance.
• Good understanding of web development principles, frontend architecture, browser behavior, performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility.
• Basic knowledge of back-end web development to understand server-side logic and ensure smooth integration between frontend and backend systems.
• Experience in building responsive web applications that function seamlessly across devices and browsers.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned modules and deliver tasks within committed timelines.
• Ability to collaborate with team members and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
