What we're building
Fluid is our corporate travel product built for companies that want to stop wrestling with clunky travel tools and actually get things done. Think clean interfaces, smart workflows, and a product that just works. We're in build mode and looking for someone to lead the charge on the frontend and someone who understands what it takes to build systems that hold up as we scale.
What you'll own
- The frontend of Fluid architecture, quality, and everything in between
- Building scalable, performant systems that don't fall apart when usage grows 10x
- Technical decisions that actually matter how we structure components, manage state, handle performance
- Shipping fast without breaking things (and fixing things fast when they do break)
- Leading and mentoring engineers on the team you raise the bar just by being in the room
- Bringing a strong technical voice into product conversations not just executing, but shaping what gets built
- Collaborating closely with product, design, and backend to ship end-to-end, not just your slice of it
What you bring
- 610 years of frontend engineering experience
- React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js are non-negotiables you've shipped all four in production, at scale, and you have strong opinions about how to use them well
- Proven experience building scalable applications you know what breaks at scale before it breaks, and you design for it upfront
- You've been part of building or owning an end-to-end enterprise application you understand the full picture, not just the UI layer
- You've led or mentored engineers not in a checkbox way, but in a way that actually made them better
- A collaborative mindset you work with people, not around them. You share context, seek input, and make the team smarter
- High agency you don't wait for perfect information or a detailed brief to start moving. You figure things out, make calls, and own the outcome
- You move fast, communicate clearly, and don't wait to be told what to do
Bonus points if you've
- Built B2B or enterprise-facing products
- Worked on complex booking, workflow, or fintech interfaces
- Obsessed over design systems, micro-frontend setups, or frontend observability
- Dealt with scale challenges high traffic, large data sets, complex state across distributed systems
