Senior Front End Engineer

calli.shop is a creator-economy platform where readers follow influencers, earn an in-platform currency, and redeem it for different kinds of collectibles. It's part of the broader Calli ecosystem alongside meetcalli.com.

We're hiring one senior frontend engineer to own it.

• Architecture, code quality, and the review bar across the calli.shop frontend.
• The user-facing experience end-to-end, including performance, accessibility, and mobile-web quality.
• Shipping new revenue and engagement features from spec to production, instrumented and measured.
• The calls that don't get made today: framework decisions, dependency cuts, rendering strategy.

• 7+ years shipping production React, with strong Next.js and TypeScript depth.
• A track record of owning a consumer web product, not just contributing to one.
• Real performance and accessibility chops. Core Web Vitals and WCAG aren't afterthoughts.
• Product instinct and the judgment to push back on bad specs.
• Operating as the owner. You scope, ship, measure, and fix what you broke.

• Content platforms, media players, or document/reader UI experience
• Experimentation, analytics instrumentation, email-driven flows experience
• A live consumer product you led that we can inspect.

We prioritize being async-first. We're a small team, and you will have direct access to leadership. There is high trust and a high-bar. We don't micromanage, and we don't carry people.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design
• Experience with Back-End Web Development and seamless integration of front-end and back-end components
• Strong background in Software Development best practices
• Comprehensive knowledge of Web Development and modern web standards
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and CSS libraries
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and in a remote team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Prior experience in mentoring junior developers is a plus
