Job Requirements

Senior Engineer – FPGA

Technical Skills

  • Good Understanding in deriving digital FPGA requirements from higher-level (system or board-level) requirements specifications.
  • Convert high level architecture to detailed design
  • Expert in RTL Design using VHDL or Verilog
  • Should be able to create FPGA architecture document, Detailed design documents, Timing Diagrams, State Machine Diagrams as needed
  • Good understanding of FPGA Internals – Internal Memory, IO Blocks, High speed transceivers etc
  • Experience integrating third party IPs into the FPGA
  • Experience working with Xilinx and Altera FPGA SoC
  • Experience in handling Clock Domain Crossings and Timing Closure
  • Should be able to support hardware validation of FPGA design
  • Experience in standard interfaces like AXI-4, AXI-S, Ethernet, PCIe, USB 2.0/3.0

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand customer requirements and develop FPGA design
  • Module level ownership of FPGA design
  • Mentor junior design engineers in the team
  • Timing closure of FPGA implementations
  • Handling Clock Domain Crossing
  • Support team in identifying root cause and fixing issues

Would Be a Plus

  • Working with third party IPs
  • Working experience with FPGA SoC
  • Experience implementing USB or Ethernet in FPGA using third party IP cores
  • Experience developing FPGA designs for high-speed interfaces
  • Experience leading team of 5 or more members

Communication

  • Good and strong verbal and written communication to involved stakeholders
  • Should be able to conduct fruitful discussion with hardware and software team

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering - Electronics Engineering
  • Years of Experience : 6 - 8 Years
