Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of assigned business models, including revenue drivers, cost structures, capital requirements, currency exposure, and cash flow dynamics.
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasting, and long-term business planning processes with clear assumptions and governance.
- Analyse monthly and quarterly financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and historical results, identifying key business drivers and corrective actions.
- Maintain integrated cash flow and liquidity forecasts covering operations, capital expenditure, financing activities, and major commitments.
- Monitor capital projects against approved budgets, milestones, expenditure, and estimated completion costs.
- Build and evaluate financial models for profitability, cash flow, NPV, IRR, payback periods, funding requirements, and investment returns.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess business, operational, financing, and foreign exchange risks.
- Track project performance against approved business cases and quantify the financial impact of variances.
- Partner with business leaders, project teams, controllership functions, and senior stakeholders to support data-driven decisions.
- Develop and monitor operational and financial KPIs to identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare executive reports, dashboards, and presentations with actionable recommendations for management.
- Provide financial analysis and decision support for strategic initiatives, including funding, restructuring, acquisitions, disposals, and contract evaluations.
- Ensure management reporting and financial models are reconciled to approved source data.
- Maintain model governance, version control, source documentation, and data integrity standards.
Requirements
- Typically 6 to 10 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, project finance, project controls, corporate finance, investment analysis, or transaction/advisory services.
- Advanced financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using Power BI or equivalent analytical tools is an added advantage.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
