About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Founding Engineer to join our engineering team at an early-stage AI Product (B2B). You will be joining a team of 5 engineers working on a live product with real customers, where strong technical decisions and fast execution both matter. This role is for someone who can architect systems, lead technical decisions, write excellent code, and help raise the bar for a small but high-quality team. You will work closely with the founders and have meaningful influence on both the product and how the team operates.

What you will do:

• Own the architecture and delivery of core product features across the full stack
• Design scalable, well-structured database schemas and data models
• Build and integrate AI agent-based workflows into the core product
• Set technical standards, review code, and help establish engineering practices
• Work directly with product and the founding team to shape the roadmap from a technical lens
• Help hire and mentor early engineering team members as the team grows
• Take end-to-end accountability for reliability, performance, and code quality

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in software development with strong full-stack depth
• Strong frontend skills in ReactJS and deep backend experience in Python
• Hands-on experience with Django or equivalent Python frameworks at a production scale
• Strong grasp of database design - schema design, indexing, query performance, and migrations
• Active experience building with AI agents in production or near-production settings (at least 3–4 months of hands-on work)
• Ability to make and defend architectural decisions with clear thinking
• High ownership mindset - you care about outcomes, not just output
• Experience working in a startup or high-ambiguity environment

Good to have

• Experience building or scaling a B2B SaaS product
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, orchestration frameworks, or multi-agent systems
• Experience designing systems that combine structured data with AI-generated outputs
• Cloud infrastructure experience and a bias for operational simplicity
• Prior experience being one of the first few engineers at a company
