Roles And Responsibilities

• Developing new features for AI-powered home security cameras in C
• Debugging any incidents related to firmware
• Code maintenance and optimization in terms of flash, memory, and CPU utilization
• Integrating and validating experimental features and third-party libraries
• Liaising with different technical teams for smooth rollout of new features
  
  

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, with at least 2 years working with embedded Linux
• Proficiency in C, C++ programming, and strong knowledge of computer architectures
• In-depth understanding of audio and video codec principles, familiarity with encoding formats like H.264, H.265, AAC, Opus, G711, etc.
• Familiarity with audio and video transmission protocols such as WebRTC and RTSP
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, TLS, and MQTT
• Experience with open-source libraries such as libcurl, libwebsocket, libffmpeg
• Familiarity with cloud storage services like Amazon Cloud Storage, B2 Cloud Storage
• Understanding of how network cameras operate, with the ability to perform root cause analysis across different components of the platform
• Familiarity with Linux resource usage profiling, and embedded system simulation
• Good command over Git for version control
