Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior FinOps Analyst with strong expertise in Azure cloud financial management and cost optimization. The role involves driving financial governance for Azure environments, managing cloud spend, forecasting costs, and implementing best practices to improve financial efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, cloud, and finance teams to ensure optimal utilization of cloud resources and strong cost control.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial analysis of Azure cloud usage and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Implement FinOps best practices aligned with Azure cloud environments.
- Manage cloud cost forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Build dashboards and reports using Azure Cost Management / reporting tools.
- Design cost allocation and chargeback models for different teams and projects.
- Provide regular reports and insights on cloud spend to leadership.
- Conduct periodic cost audits and recommend optimization strategies.
- Work closely with cloud architects and engineering teams to improve efficiency.
- Automate cost tracking and reporting using Azure tools / scripting.
- Support stakeholders with guidance on cloud cost governance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in FinOps / Cloud Cost Management / Azure Financial Operations.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cost Management, Billing, Monitor, Advisor.
- Experience with Azure pricing models compute, storage, networking, databases.
- Hands-on experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Experience designing cost allocation / chargeback models.
- Strong analytical skills with Power BI / Excel / reporting tools.
- Understanding of FinOps lifecycle and cloud governance.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with automation / scripting (PowerShell / Azure CLI preferred).
- Bachelors / Masters degree in relevant field.
