The Senior Finance Program/Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional Finance transformation initiatives that modernize Finance processes, systems, and ways of working. This role is accountable for driving end-to-end program delivery and for process-driven initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, scalability and adoption.
The ideal candidate brings strong program and project management discipline, a transformation mindset, and the ability to partner effectively with Finance leadership, IT, and functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes in a highly complex environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead strategic Finance transformation programs and end-to-end project delivery from definition through execution, adoption and value realization.
- Partner with executive sponsors and Finance leadership to define scope, success metrics, timelines, resourcing and governance.
- Apply structured program and project management practices to plan, execute, monitor and de-risk multi-phase initiatives.
- Proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues; escalate as needed.
- Lead process initiatives embedded within programs, including defining scope, success measures, and improvement opportunities.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track delivery progress, process performance and business impact.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams and vendors to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Facilitate cross-functional process reviews and improvement efforts to reduce pain points.
- Drive change management activities, including communication, training, UAT coordination, and operational readiness.
- Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes clearly to senior leadership.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience in finance transformation, program/project management, or process‑driven initiatives
- Proven track record leading large, cross‑functional programs with measurable results
- Experience leading initiatives that include process improvement and operational change
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred (Green Belt considered with strong leadership experience)
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience with Finance systems and AI platforms
- Strong ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels in a matrixed organization
