Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Finance leader to strengthen and oversee the Group's Finance function, bringing efficiency, structure, and continuous improvement to the team and its operations.

In this role, you will ensure the smooth and effective running of day-to-day Finance operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy, governance, and compliance. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to support sound financial planning and decision-making, while identifying opportunities to improve ways of working.

As a people manager, you will also play a key role in mentoring and developing the Finance team, building a collaborative and constructive team culture, and strengthening the team's overall capabilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Finance Leadership

  • Oversee the Group's Finance function, including financial reporting, financial planning, treasury, audit, and tax
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, cost optimisation, and working capital management to support sustainable growth
  • Manage interest rate and liquidity risks, and identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses, partnering with senior management to support informed decision-making
  • Lead and develop the Finance team, fostering a collaborative environment where team members can grow and perform at their best
  • Drive Finance transformation and continuous improvement across processes, systems, reporting, and timelines, working with the team to improve efficiency and effectiveness

2. Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of full sets of accounts in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing and oversee core Finance operations, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial records
  • Review and strengthen financial controls, policies, and SOPs

3. Tax, Compliance & Audit

  • Oversee GST, corporate tax, and other statutory filings, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Lead and manage all audits and serve as the key Finance contact for auditors, regulatory bodies, tax agents, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate the timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of agreed recommendations

About You

We are looking for someone who combines seasoned Finance expertise with a grounded, collaborative approach to leadership. You enjoy bringing consistency to complex environments, developing people, and working with others to continuously improve how we operate.

  • Possess a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications (CPA/ACCA/ACMA)
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a managerial capacity, preferably within a lending or financial services environment
  • Prior experience in both audit and commercial finance is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring Finance team members
  • Demonstrated expertise across financial operations, audit management, and financial planning
  • Strong financial acumen, with sound knowledge of SFRS, corporate tax, GST, and other applicable accounting and regulatory standards
  • Sharp analytical skills with sound judgement and decision-making ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, build trust, and foster positive working relationships
  • Microsoft office skills with strong Excel knowledge
