Role overview & Key responsibilities:

This role is critical to PadCare's next stage of growth as we target 100 Cr ARR, global expansion, and financial excellence. The Senior Finance Manager will own end-to-end finance operations, ensure strong governance, and drive automation and reporting excellence. This is a high-ownership role with a clear growth path to Finance Controller, responsible for building scalable systems, enabling accurate financial visibility, and partnering with business teams for decision-making.

Finance Operations & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a growing Finance team (Billing, AR, AP, Accounts Executive).
• Build capabilities and create SOPs for efficient, compliant finance operations.
• Ensure timely completion of billing, collections, payouts, reimbursements, vendor management, and reconciliations.

Accounting, Bookkeeping & Compliance

• Oversee monthly bookkeeping, Tally/Zoho/ERP entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Ensure monthly closure with zero errors & timely reporting.
• Manage statutory compliance: GST, TDS, PF/ESIC vendor compliance.
• Maintain updated accounting documentation & audit trail.

Taxation & Audit Support

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST, TDS, PT, Income Tax coordination.
• Prepare schedules, reports & reconciliations for Statutory, Internal, and Tax audits.
• Drive closure of audit queries with minimal dependency on external partners.

MIS, Reporting & Business Finance

• Prepare Monthly MIS Pack: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, B2C/B2B revenue analysis, contribution margin, Ops MIS, Unit Economics.
• Track KPIs and build business dashboards for CEO & Leadership.
• Enable decision-making with data-driven insights on cost, revenue, and operational efficiency.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Treasury

• Own annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting & variance analysis.
• Manage treasury, fund flow, loan repayment schedule, utilisation tracking.
• Maintain runway visibility, working capital planning & cashflow projections.

O2C (Order-to-Cash)

• Supervise invoicing, revenue booking, collection follow-up & ageing management.
• Improve DSO and strengthen credit control processes.
• Ensure accurate customer reconciliation & dispute resolutions.

AP (Procure-to-Pay)

• Oversee vendor onboarding, GRN, PO tracking, invoice verification & payouts.
• Maintain healthy cash cycles & vendor relationships.
• Implement approval workflows and internal financial controls.

Coordination With CA, CS & Legal

• Liaise with external CA, CS, legal counsel, auditors, bankers.
• Manage ROC filings, board meeting finance decks, and investor data requests.
• Support compliance for SHA/SSA, ESOP, debt documentation, etc.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify inefficiencies and introduce automation across billing, AR, AP, reporting.
• Evaluate tools: Zoho Books/QuickBooks/ERP, HRMS integration, automated MIS dashboards.
• Build scalable financial processes for 100Cr+ revenue structure.

Asset Management

• Maintain FA register and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure capex approvals, tagging, tracking, verification & audits.

Legal & Contract Management

• Maintain, monitor, and track contracts with customers/vendors.
• Support commercial vetting of agreements, NDAs, SLAs.
• Maintain a database of legal & financial obligations.

Additional responsibilities:

• Build internal control frameworks for a multi-city, multi-service business.
• Strengthen revenue assurance frameworks (service invoicing MIS collection).
• Partner with Operations, Sales, HR, and R&D to align finance with business strategy.
• Support fundraising: data room, financial models, investor due-diligence.
• Drive cost optimization projects across supply chain and city operations.
• Prepare policies: Travel, CAPEX, Procurement, Expense, Delegation of Authority.

What we're looking for:

• 58 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Business Finance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Statutory Compliance, Audit, and MIS.
• Proficiency in Tally/Zoho/ERP systems, Excel, and MIS reporting.
• Experience managing a team and working cross-functionally.
• Experience in manufacturing, waste management, FMCG, or multi-location businesses. (good to have)
• Exposure to fundraising or investor reporting. (good to have)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-growth, high-ownership startup environment.
