Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced candidate who led our accounting, financial reporting, costing, and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, drive process improvements, and partner with cross-functional teams to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting and General Ledger
- Manage end-to-end General Ledger accounting activities and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.
- Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, reclassifications, and adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Maintain the integrity of the Chart of Accounts and accounting master data.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of fixed assets, including accounting for capitalization, transfers, disposals, retirements, and asset impairments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal accounting policies, and corporate reporting guidelines
Month-End and Year-End Closing
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process within defined timelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely booking of transactions.
- Review trial balances, investigate unusual movements, and ensure completeness of financial reporting.
- Prepare and review closing schedules and supporting documentation.
Costing and Inventory Accounting
- Support product costing, inventory valuation, and cost allocation processes.
- Review manufacturing costs, inventory movements, and cost variances.
- Coordinate with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost visibility and reporting.
- Assist in standard cost updates and profitability analysis.
Statutory compliance and Audit Management
- Ensure compliance with statutory accounting requirements and financial reporting obligations.
- Support preparation of financial statements and schedules.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, and cost audits.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Respond to auditor queries promptly and accurately.
- Track audit observations and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Internal controls and process improvement
- Ensure compliance with internal control requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements.
- Support implementation of best practices in financial reporting and governance.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5–10 years of relevant experience in General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, or controllership.
- Experience with big 4 accounting firm with assurance/ statutory audit practice would be added advantage.
- Experience in a manufacturing or consumer electronics environment will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Ind AS/IFRS and Indian statutory requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
