Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Supervise and administer the Finance and HR functions for the company and its three related companies, supported by 5 Finance staff (4 permanent and 1 contract) and 3 permanent HR staff.

2. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and functionally to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the position holder is being groomed as the Group's future Finance Director.

3. Oversee, review and manage investor exercises, due diligence processes(finance/tax and legal), and the future implementation of changes to accounting policies, systems, and HR functions (if any).

4. Review and manage the company's accounting, finance and HR infrastructure and ensure strict adherence to corporate reporting policies and legal requirements through measures that are productive, efficient and automated as much as possible. Determine management information requirements and ensure reliable financial and HR data are processed and submitted regularly to management and regulatory authorities.

5. Maintain financial discipline through good cash flow management and ensure AR and AP are well managed with prompt and efficient practices - regularly reporting, claims processing, billings, invoicing, payments and settlements.

6. Assist the CCO to administer and manage the HR function, including employee compensation system, HR resource development and training plans.

7. Assist CCO to identify system and procedural issues and to formulate appropriate strategic/tactical responses, including making system and internal control improvements to enhance internal control system through appropriate automation technology. Promote transparency in corporate governance.

8. Establish cordial relations with colleagues, both within the company and the group regarding common corporate interests as well as the implementation of key activities like budgeting, reporting and corporate governance. Develop and maintain good relations with fiscal/legal advisors and other government agencies to ensure optimum benefit for the company and the Group.

9. Regularly review and recommend business process changes and improvements with the view to increase staff productivity and efficiency through the use of automation and IT technology.

10.Ensure a good system of internal control and internal checks is in place and that the company's and Group's policies and procedures are duly complied with by all staff.

11. To handle special assignments as and when needed.


Requirements

1. Professional diploma or degree in Accountancy with at least 5 years of working experience, preferably with exposure to computerised Accounting and HR systems. Those with prior knowledge of SAGE ERP or Accpac accounting systems, as well as audit experience, will have an added advantage.

2. A good team player with demonstrated skills working with employees at all levels of the hierarchy.

3. Working knowledge of local HR and employment practices.

4. Ability to analyse and improve processes and systems to achieve work efficiency and effectiveness.

5. Good competency in the use of Office 365 applications.
