Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with direct ownership of an operational finance domain such as accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, period-end close, financial reporting, or commercial finance support.
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with at least one cloud accounting and ERP platform (e.g. Xero, Zoho Finance, or Odoo) at operational depth, including journal entries, reconciliation, close processes, reporting configuration, and workflow administration.
- Strong working knowledge of core accounting principles and internal control requirements, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany reconciliation, multi-currency transactions, multi-entity consolidation fundamentals, and audit-ready documentation.
- Track record of driving accuracy, discipline, and process reliability across a finance domain, with the ability to manage reporting deadlines and close cycles with a high degree of independence.
- Strong analytical capability, including the ability to prepare management reporting, variance analysis, budgets, rolling forecasts and financial models that support business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a B2BSaaS, marketplace, fintech, or technology company, with exposure to subscription revenue recognition, platform payment flows, deferred revenue, pricing or multi-sided business dynamics.
- Experience configuring orimproving finance workflows, including chart of accounts structures, automatedbank feeds, reconciliation rules, reporting templates, multi-entity reportingor integrated expense and payroll processes.
- Exposure to FP&A, cashflow forecasting, KPI dashboards within a high-growth or multi-jurisdiction commercial environment.

As Senior Finance Executive at Bakuun, your primary focus will be the reliable operation of a core finance domain: ensuring the numbers are accurate, the close is controlled, the systems are well maintained and the business has financial information it can trust. Alongside this operational mandate, you will bring a forward-looking finance lens to your work, contributing to management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that help leadership understand performance, anticipate risks and make better decisions as the business scales.
Responsibilities
- Manage the finance cycle for your assigned area. Process transactions, perform reconciliations, complete month end closing and support group consolidation where required.
- Maintain and improve ERP and accounting system workflows. Set up reconciliation rules and reporting templates. Use automation to reduce manual work and improve data accuracy.
- Execute month-end and period-end close processes ensuring all reconciliations, adjustments and supporting documentation are delivered to a review ready standard by agreed deadlines.
- Maintain a control environment across assigned processes, keeping financial records audit-ready and supporting statutory reporting, tax and regulatory requirements with complete traceability.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve finance queries and ensure financial data accurately reflects business activity, pricing, payments, and operational decisions.
- Support the annual budget and rolling forecast process. Update assumptions and track performance against budget for assigned areas.
- Prepare financial models and scenario analysis for key business initiatives. Assess the impact of changes to cost, pricing, product activity, and operating plans. Highlights material movements and explains the drivers behind performance.
