Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Fashion Designer with strong experience in women's wear design and production execution. The ideal candidate should be creative, detail-oriented, and capable of handling the complete design process from concept development to final garment execution.
This role requires someone who understands current fashion trends, has a strong eye for silhouettes and prints, and can coordinate efficiently with tailors, merchandisers, and production teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop women's wear styles aligned with DELAN's brand aesthetic and vision.
- Research current trends in silhouettes, colors, prints, patterns, fabrics, and styling.
- Create fresh design concepts that are creative as well as commercially relevant.
- Work closely on sampling, fittings, and design corrections.
- Coordinate with tailors, merchandisers, and production teams for smooth execution.
- Manage and guide the tailoring team to ensure quality and timely output.
- Plan production timelines and oversee the production process.
- Ensure consistency in fit, finishing, construction, and overall garment quality.
- Maintain attention to detail across design, sampling, and final production.
- Handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Bring fresh ideas to the table while keeping the brand's identity in mind.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in women's wear design.
- Freshers are not eligible for this role.
- Preferably worked with a fashion label, designer brand, or established women's wear brand.
- Strong understanding of women's wear silhouettes, colors, prints, patterns, and current fashion trends.
- Good knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, sampling, and production processes.
- Ability to manage tailors, merchandisers, and production coordination.
- Strong creative sense with practical execution skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of planning production efficiently.
- Good communication, coordination, and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
