As a CBRE Senior Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Client regarding all operational matters.

What You'll Do

Operation & Maintenance:

  • Ensure the efficient operations of all facility systems and services by overseeing day-to-day activities.
  • Plan and ensure regular site inspections are conducted to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and areas requiring attention.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs and project management works, and ensure they are executed effectively.
  • Manage both planned and reactive maintenance activities, minimising disruption to building operations.
  • Ensure prompt response to facility-related emergencies and issues
  • Oversee the maintenance of proper records for facility activities to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Develop strategies for facility improvements, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage relationships and performance with subcontractors or Corporation's appointed subcontractors.
  • Ensure all contracted services meet agreed the service expectations as outlined in the Contract.
  • Conduct regular reviews of subcontractor performance, providing feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage subcontractor resource planning, ensuring adequate staffing and capability to meet operational needs.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Monitor and manage facility-related expenditures, ensuring alignment with the approved budget and glide path.
  • Identify and propose cost-saving opportunities for discussion with the Authority.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports for various reporting platforms (e.g., monthly meetings, six-monthly management meetings, or ad-hoc meetings).

Stakeholder Relations and Communications

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related matters.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, ensuring that concerns and queries are addressed promptly.
  • Provide regular updates to the Authority on facility performance and issues.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely building occupant engagement sessions as required by the Corporation.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure daily operations comply and adhere with all relevant statutory regulations relating to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Manage safety inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the FMC team, ensuring team alignment with contract requirements.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet service requirements.
  • Oversee the FMC core and support team's training and development plan.
  • Ensure coordination among the core team, support team, and HQ team to meet the contractual obligations.
  • Regularly review resource deployment and planning to ensure optimal staffing and efficiency.

Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in daily operations.
  • Propose and implement solutions to enhance cost efficiency, productivity and sustainability.
  • Collect and analyse feedback from stakeholders, tenants, and internal teams to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct breakdown analysis on operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Analyse facility performance metrics, propose improvements, and track the effectiveness of implemented changes.

Incident & Emergency Management

  • Oversee incident reporting and ensure timely updates during incident management.
  • Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and relevant authorities to manage incidents and ensure resolution in line with the Corporation's agreed workflows

  • Minimum Degree in Built Environment / Facilities Management / Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience with a proven management / supervisory background.
  • Preferably with CFME Tier 2 accreditation
  • A strong team player with proven people management skills; demonstrates high professional integrity by maintaining an objective, neutral, and collaborative approach to all workplace interactions and decision-making
  • Basic financial knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems and general building maintenance.
  • A collaborative leader with strong people management skills; demonstrates integrity by remaining impartial and focused on operational outcomes in all team and client interactions.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g Excel / Powerpoint / Word)
  • Strong client focus with a passion for delivering excellent customer service with strong attention to details.
  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
