Job Title: Senior F&D Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time
Technically the job involves investigating and producing F&DT justifications solutions for simple and complex Primary Structural Elements (PSE's) of Wing Structure.
Following Are The Core Responsibilities
- Work as team offshore member/Team Lead to Support the customer in F&DT stress substantiation for Design deviations in the form of Engineering Analysis using established standards and working procedures
- Responsible for delivery of high-quality Static justifications to time, cost and quality requirements
- Liaise with the customer SPOC to discuss queries and seek feedback on work delivered.
- Ensure Customer and Quest KPI are achieved.
- Develop training plan as required and ensure quick job deployment of new Engr added to team.
Work Experience
- Holds relevant technical qualifications (Bachelor, Master or equivalent) or a relevant level of experience to perform the stress engineering tasks.
- 3-6 years of experience with strong knowledge of airframe static stress including FEA & hand calculation methods.
- Knowledge of static and fatigue design values (Ftu, Fty, Fcy, AFI parameters, S-N curve parameters, fracture toughness etc.,)
- Fatigue calculations (Hand calculations, DFEM, ISAMI, GFEM load redistribution)
- Calculation of Seq stresses (fatigue and crack propagation), understanding of mission profiles, rainflow counting, Miner's rule, stress files, FESPS databases, Spectra generation.
- Calculation of Stress concentration (Kt) values using Petersons or DFEM or ISAMI modules.
- Ability to read the drawings and interpret fastener diameter, fastener fit, fastener spec & type, surface protection treatment to be useful for fatigue calculations.
- ISAMI modules (Metallic Filled Hole, Composite Filled Hole, Lug analysis, Corin Analysis, Notch Sensitivity, Damage Tolerance, Tension Fitting, Fatigue Spectrum Analysis (1D & 2D), Fatigue DFEM Initiation Modules, etc.,)
- Develop, implement, and check technical solutions and compliance documentation to ensure they are compliant with all relevant customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements, within agreed program, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.
- Sound knowledge of airframe fatigue substantiation including safe life and fracture mechanics techniques
