- Implements the risk and audit strategy. Reviews multiple risk frameworks, refining risk management and oversight processes, ensuring alignment with organizational policy and objectives
- Leads key risk and audit programs. Delivers sound recommendations to mitigate key risk developments and emerging risks while ensuring alignment to company goals and progress. Provides expert advice to management in drafting the organization's risk and audit policies
- Oversees the regular analysis of key business impacts and exposures, considering existing and emerging threats, security risks, and vulnerabilities. Develops and enhances effective risk strategies and mitigation actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams ensuring comprehensive engagement and effective outcomes
- Leads the refined processes for complex engagement with key risk owners and business sponsors. Ensures timely and relevant management updates with respect to priority risks and mitigation actions. Evaluates high-priority risk threats and effectiveness of controls, crisis identification / response / recovery, both internally and at critical third-party vendors and/or supplier organizations. Provides comprehensive technical expertise on effectively managing the risk of ineffective capabilities
- Partners with senior management to evaluate the recommendations to fill the gaps between stated processes, policies, and standards against actual observations and outcomes of the financials. Translates recommendations into concrete action plans
- Leads the review of financial or operational audits to ensure the organization's compliance with internal requirements and standards of conduct. As a subject matter expert, oversees team members within the Risk & Audit, ensuring all activities align with the organization's policies, procedures, and standards. May support the continuous improvement in audit processes
- Leads and mentors other Risk & Audit professionals and/or junior managers, enhancing the team's abilities by serving as a key subject matter expert. Drives continuous development and actively shares knowledge on emerging trends, changes and challenges in Risk & Audit with the team, senior colleagues and junior managers
- Engages key stakeholders, provides valuable insights during meetings, and clearly communicate updates to senior leaders
