Senior Expert for Generative and Multimodal AI to lead Advanced AI research and Innovation

Roles & Responsibilities :

We are looking for highly experienced Senior Expert to provide technical leadership in research, development and industrialization of advanced Artificial Intelligence technologies.

The role will focus on Generative AI, Large and Small Language Models, Multimodal AI, Neuro-Symbolic AI, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.

The role includes technical depth with thought leadership, shaping the team's AI research roadmap and guiding multidisciplinary teams from research, proof of concept through robust deployment.

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

MTech or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field

Mandatory/requires Skills :

• 15- 18 years of applied research experience in AI, machine learning, deep learning

• 3 -5 years of experience in Generative AI, LLMs, SLMs, multimodal AI or foundation models

• Ability to define AI technology roadmap and long-term research strategies

• Demonstrated experience leading advanced AI research, technology development or large-scale AI programs.

• Evidence of technical thought leadership through patents, publications in top AI avenues or delivering high-impact AI solutions

• Demonstrated ability to convert research into practical AI solutions.

• Ability to influence technical direction across teams without direct organizational authority

• Strong mentoring and technical capability-building experience.

Preferred Skills :

German Language is a plus

Additional Information

Key Responsibilities:

. Identify emerging research opportunities and formulate high-impact research programs aligned with strategic technology priorities

. Conduct and lead advanced research to develop novel AI methods, algorithms, architectures, and reusable technology assets for various strategic portfolios.

. Develop research prototypes and demonstrators to validate technical feasibility, performance, scalability, and application potential.

. Advance research in multimodal learning, knowledge-grounded AI, neural-symbolic reasoning, and foundation-model adaptation.

. Develop methods to improve AI reasoning, reliability, explainability, robustness, efficiency, and trustworthiness.

. Publish research results, generate patents and invention disclosures, and represent the organization in external technical and scientific forums.

. Establish collaborations with universities, research institutes, technology partners, and relevant AI ecosystems.

. Mentor researchers and technical experts and contribute to long-term AI competency development.

. Drive technology transfer by working with engineering teams to mature and transition the research outcomes.

. You willcollaborate in an international, interdisciplinary setting with experts across AI, software engineering, business, and domain domains.

. Finally, you are able to clearly communicate complex technical content to customers, technical and business stakeholders, as well as management.
