Job Description

This role is intended for an experienced supply chain operations professional with strong hands‑on expertise in distribution, transportation, and logistics execution. The position focuses on ensuring stable outbound fulfilment, freight execution, shipment visibility, and service‑level adherence across global supply chain networks.

The Senior Executive will work closely with Planning, Warehousing, Carriers/3PLs, and Customer Service teams to resolve transportation issues, minimize delays, control logistics costs, and improve delivery performance. The role requires a strong operational mindset, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage exceptions and escalations independently.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Distribution & Transportation Execution

  • Manage and support outbound distribution and transportation execution, ensuring shipments move as planned across regional and global networks.
  • Monitor shipment status, transportation milestones, and delivery confirmations to ensure on‑time and in‑full (OTIF / LOTIF) performance.
  • Support freight planning, carrier coordination, delivery scheduling, and appointment management.
  • Track and resolve transportation issues such as delays, damages, short shipments, missed pickups, and routing deviations.

Logistics Coordination & Issue Resolution

  • Act as a key operational point of contact for transportation‑related queries and escalations.
  • Coordinate with warehouses, carriers, 3PL partners, and internal teams to resolve execution issues.
  • Proactively identify risks to delivery commitments and drive corrective actions to minimise customer impact.

Supply Chain Analytics & Cost Awareness

  • Analyse transportation and distribution data to identify trends related to service levels, transit times, and exceptions.
  • Support monitoring of freight costs, accessorials, and penalties, highlighting deviations or concerns for review.
  • Prepare operational reports and dashboards related to delivery performance, delays, and transportation KPIs.

Process Adherence, Controls & Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with defined SOPs, transportation policies, and audit requirements.
  • Identify recurring logistics issues and contribute to process improvements and standardisation initiatives.
  • Support deployment of best practices for shipment visibility, execution discipline, and operational controls.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Planning, Distribution Centres, Customer Service, and Supply Chain leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with Global / North America Supply Chain teams to align execution priorities and resolve ongoing issues.
  • Support knowledge sharing, documentation, and continuous capability building within the team.

  • Experience Requirements:

    Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in order management or supply chain operations with global exposure.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP ECC/S4HANA preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and mentor junior team members.
  • Good to Have:

  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or large-scale supply chain environments.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Power Automate, Winshuttle) and BI reporting (Power BI).
  • Knowledge of EDI transactions and order automation processes.
  • Organizational Relationships:

    Reports to Manager – Supply Chain

    • Regular interactions with North America & Global Supply Chain teams.
    • Frequent interaction with internal stakeholders including Supply Chain Leadership teams.

     

    Other Details:

    The associate should have the flexibility to work in shifts that may range from 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM or 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM OR in regular India working hours. (Subject to change)
