Job Description

Job Description: Senior Executive Sales / Asst. Manager Sales (Freight Forwarding), depending on work experience and skills.

Location: Bhandup, Mumbai.

Department: Sales & Commercial

Reports to: Sales Manager / Sr. Sales Manager

Role Objective:

The Senior Executive Sales / Asst. Manager Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new enterprise and SME clients. You will focus on selling end-to-end logistics solutions, including Ocean Freight (LCL/FCL), Air Freight, Custom Clearance, and Warehousing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new market segments (e.g., Pharma, Auto, Retail, or Electronics) within the assigned territory.
  • Sales Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire sales process from lead generation and cold calling to negotiation and closing.
  • Strategic RFQs: Lead the preparation of complex commercial bids and RFQs, ensuring competitive pricing and profitable margins.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong rapport with key stakeholders (Logistics Managers, CFOs, and Supply Chain Heads).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations and Pricing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on ocean/air freight market trends, port congestions, and regulatory changes in India (GST, ICEGATE, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualification

  • Experience: 2+ years of proven sales experience in Freight Forwarding or International Logistics.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain. MBA is a plus.
  • Network: Existing portfolio of active shippers/clients in the local market.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce/HubSpot) and MS Office.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent command of English and [Local Language]. Strong negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Deep understanding of INCOTERMS 2020.
  • Familiarity with Multi-modal Transport (Sea-Air-Road).
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak shipping seasons.
