About the Role
An established transport provider is looking for a reliable Electrical Engineer to manage the renewal or replacement of electrical power systems to ensure the safe, reliable, and continuous improvement of transport services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project activities related to the renewal, replacement, or upgrading of critical electrical power assets by leveraging on new technologies.
- Study Method Statement (MS) to ensure that work does not affect business operations.
- Review Risk Assessment (RA) and drawings to identify potential safety and operational hazards before the project commences.
- Ensure adherence to the Company's safety guidelines during projects, while ensuring projects works do not affect business operations.
- Plan manpower deployment to match workloads.
- Evaluate and improve work processes to ensure manpower, tools, and other resources are effectively deployed and aligned with the Quality Assurance (QA) programme.
- Collaborate and liaise with the relevant Authorities to solve power-related issues.
- Obtain Certificate of Authorisation (COA) and perform electrical switching.
- Regularly communicate and update staff on progress and development of project delivery plans to ensure alignment with the company's Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
- Manage a group of Assistant Engineers to meet KPIs and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Train and develop staff build competency and proficiency in their respective areas of work, while preparing them for career advancement.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an institution recognised by Singapore Professional Engineers Board.
- A valid license as an Electrical PE and LEW is advantageous.
- Is driven and maintains high standards throughout work done.
- Exemplifies and demonstrates professional engineering standards
- Is a team player who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills
