Role: Senior Executive - IT Procurement (Software and Cloud Services)

Position Summary
The Procurement Executive for IT will manage
end-to-end procurement activities for
software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, AWS and Azure cloud services and IT services. A key requirement of this role is to drive cost-efficiency through detailed market research and price benchmarking, ensuring the company secures best-in-class pricing and terms.
Key Responsibilities
- IT & Software & Cloud Sourcing: Manage the end-to-end procurement process for IT assets, including SaaS renewals, software licenses, hardware, IT vendor services and AWS/Azure cloud subscriptions. Negotiate and optimize commercial constructs such as reserved instances, savings plans, Azure reservations, committed use discounts, and prepaid credits.
- Price Benchmarking & Market Intelligence: Perform regular price benchmark analyses on all new purchases including cloud unit economics (e.g., cost per v CPU-hour, per GB stored, per transaction) and renewals to ensure competitive market pricing. Compare internal performance metrics against industry standards to identify savings opportunities.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with key IT suppliers. Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Strategic Sourcing: Align software usage with best-fit license options, including breaking down bundled pricing to understand true Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, legal standards, and data security requirements. Maintain audit readiness for software licenses.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, and vendor performance for management review.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in technology (B.E. or BSc IT or similar), Specialization in Procurement or related field. Master's degree in business administration is preferred
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, specifically focusing on IT hardware, software licensing, SaaS subscriptions and cloud procurement for AWS and Azure (including enterprise agreements, reserved instances, and marketplace sourcing)
- Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle) and procurement software. Advanced MS Excel skills (data analysis, modeling) are essential.
- Benchmarking Expertise: Proven experience in performing market research, conducting cost breakdowns, and applying price benchmarking data to negotiate with vendors.
