Job Purpose:
The Interior Designer will be responsible for the onsite management and coordination of executed interior design projects. The role involves translating design concepts into detailed outputs, managing vendors, and ensuring timely and high-quality project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and translate concepts into presentations, rendered images, and walkthroughs as per client requirements.
- Prepare full sets of working drawings, including detailed drawings for in-house interior design projects.
- Manage multiple vendors and supervise interior execution work at sites to ensure process-oriented, timely, and high-quality completion.
- Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, BOMs, sketches, layouts, specifications, and all necessary documents for project development.
- Select and recommend colour schemes, furniture, finishes, and materials suitable for the design intent.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, procurement teams, and site execution teams to ensure a smooth project workflow.
- Assist in preparing project progress reports and resolve site RFIs by addressing emerging issues creatively and promptly.
- Monitor the timely raising of invoices and ensure collections from vendors and customers related to the project.
- Conduct site investigations and analyse supporting documents such as maps, reports, tests, drawings, and related data.
- Perform technical and feasibility studies and prepare blueprints that comply with required technical specifications.
- Manage project budgets and oversee the procurement of materials and equipment.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.
- 46+ years of hands-on experience in a reputed interior design firm.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Proficient in 3D modelling, graphics, and animation software for creating realistic rendered visualizations, along with strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D).
- Knowledge of MS Office, Primavera, and other project management tools will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of modern interior design techniques, processes, materials, and finishes.
- Experience in preparing presentations and design proposals for client discussions.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and prepare estimates for time, cost, materials, and labour.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong aesthetic sense.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, client-focused, and professionally groomed.
