About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR professional to join our Pune-Chakan plant as a Senior Executive - HR. In this critical role, you will oversee operational HR functions, ensuring seamless employee support, compliance, and efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will handle day-to-day administration while contributing to Industrial Relations (IR) and generalist HR initiatives. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in automobile/auto ancillary sectors, passionate about fostering a compliant and productive workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Time Office & Attendance Management: Oversee daily attendance tracking, shift scheduling, payroll inputs, and time management systems to minimize discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
- Transport Management: Coordinate employee transportation logistics, including route optimization, vendor management, and compliance with safety regulations for plant shuttles and pick-up/drop-off services.
- Canteen Management: Manage canteen operations, vendor contracts, menu planning, hygiene standards, and employee feedback to promote wellness and satisfaction in a 24/7 shift environment.
- Contract Labour Handling & Statutory Compliance: Recruit, onboard, and monitor contract workforce; ensure adherence to labor laws (e.g., CLRA, EPF, ESI), audits, and MIS reporting to mitigate risks and maintain harmonious IR.
- HR Generalist Functions & Industrial Relations (IR): Support recruitment, performance appraisals, grievance handling, and employee engagement; collaborate on IR matters like union negotiations, dispute resolution, and policy implementation to drive retention and productivity.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: MBA in HR or MSW (Master of Social Work) from a recognized university.
- Experience: 6-8 years in HR operations, with mandatory exposure to Automobile, Auto Ancillary, or Manufacturing industries. Proven track record in handling contract labor, time office, and compliance in a factory setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP HR, Tally for payroll), MS Excel for MIS, and statutory compliance tools. Knowledge of Indian Labor Laws (Factories Act, Minimum Wages, POSH, etc.) and IR best practices.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; problem-solving mindset for IR escalations; ability to manage multiple vendors and stakeholders in a fast-paced plant environment.
- Preferred: Certification in Labor Laws or HR Analytics; experience with 500+ workforce in shift-based operations.
