Job Purpose

Responsible for managing the purchase activities for the fob sourcing operation for brand sweaters category and ensuring effective delivery On Time In Full with predefined quality standards and at targeted costs.

Job Context & Major Challenges

Our brands are premium lifestyle brands and there is a constant need to ensure adherence to quality standards to maintain the brand image. Thus it is imperative that the fabric sourcing team sources the right quality raw material at the right cost and at right time to ensure that the brand manufactures desired products while maintaining profitability.

Key Challenges:
1. To ensure fabric is sourced at the best price without compromising on the quality.
2. Managing Vendor relationship

Key Result Areas

KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters)Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)
KRA1Garments Sweaters Inwards1. Coordinate with vendors/transporter/ fob to achieve required inward target and OTIF
2. Issue PO to vendors within 15-days of placing orders
KRA2Developments1. Coordinate with vendors to achieve timely delivery of yardages, and On time in full desk looms
2. Issue sampling PO to vendors within 15-days of placing indents Need to travel to Get new Developments .
KRA3Imports1. Manage Import Logistics efficiently from end to end till documents are settled
2. Arrange documents from vendors for inward of bulk in factory and maintaining OTIF
3. Maintain complete set of documents required for Purchase like Indent file, Approval File, Import Data and BOE etc.
KRA4Vendor Payments & MIS1. Ensure proper documentation of all Vendor Payments
2. Updation of complete data in systems like Cordys, PLM, SAP
3. Reconciliation of 15 Top vendors every 6-months and payment follow ups of the vendors
KRA5Product Quality
Maintaining shorter Lead time
Minimize customer complaints in Knits category and continuously monitor progress planning in VPQI improvements with vendors
Significantly improve idea to market lead time through effective sourcing which will help to replenish on shorter lead time across product category
Reduce lead time of garmenting, knits and fabic
KRA6Business excellence
Sustainability mission goals
Ensure high score in BE assessment based on support during BE initiatives and proactive participation
Ensure adherence to sustainability mission goals and develop sustainable sourcing model for future
KRA7Drive profitable growth with value creation
Effective Payables
Effective sourcing to ensure topline and bottom-line are exceeding targets thereby bringing value to the business
Effective management of vendors to ensure payables greater than average payable limit of MFL (Currently 93)
