POSITION: Senior Executive – Finance & Accounting (APAC)
DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Finance
LOCATION/FACILITY: Bangalore (Working for APAC Region (Australia/Korea/Japan/Singapore/NZ)) REPORTS TO: Manager-Finance

SUMMARY: The Senior Executive – Finance should have good knowledge and hands on experience in
General Ledger Accounting
Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
Perform accrual Journals, cash forecast, P&L Variance analysis & IC reconciliation
Balance sheet reconciliations
Collaborating with finance team members on activities/projects connected within the overall framework of India finance team.
Hands on in the Blackline Recon process.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS.
Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all entries.
Liaison with accounts payable and receivable teams to get the GL work done on time.
Monitor financial transactions to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Banking Activities
Performed monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy in matching bank statements with the general ledger.
Daily Bank postings and clearing of control accounts.
Investigated and resolved discrepancies, enhancing the integrity of financial data.
Accurately posted daily bank transactions (debits, credits, wire transfers, and EFTs) into accounting systems.
Managed the proper classification of transactions, adhering to internal controls and accounting policies.
Monitored cash flow positions, prepared cash forecasts, and ensured optimal liquidity management for operational needs.
Coordinated with treasury teams to support cash management strategies.
Expense and Income Accruals
Prepare, review, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals for expenses and income to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Analyze and reconcile accrual accounts, ensuring consistency with the general ledger and supporting schedules.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and resolve discrepancies related to accruals.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS) and internal controls.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate accrual data.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accrual accounting.
Fixed Assets
Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.
Ensure accurate recording of fixed asset transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Prepare and maintain fixed asset registers, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Conduct regular audits of fixed assets to verify physical existence and condition.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and reports related to fixed assets.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Analyze fixed asset data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
Financial Reporting
Intercompany settlements
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data for management reporting and external audits.
Audit Support
Liaise with the Group and Statutory auditors to provide them with timely and accurate information requested.
Roll forward of statutory accounts.
REQUIREMENTS
Graduate or PG degree in Finance, Experience of 5+ years
CA Inter is preferred
Good Accounting exposure and Month end related activities.
Good to have working experience in SAP FICO module.
Excellent knowledge in excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Energetic individual with the desire to push boundaries to achieve results.
