The Primary Responsibilities Of This Role Include –
- Record journal entries accurately and in accordance with applicable policies
- Knowledge of Cash control, APO handling and Suspense Reconciliations.
- Ensure transactions have been properly authorised in line with the agreed policies and exceptions
are reported.
- Coordinate/support mechanics of reconciliation process
- Provide assistance during month end activities within assigned business areas
- Prepare/extract reports and investigate accounting issues
- Liaison with key customers and stakeholders providing further analysis, explanation and
understanding where required.
- Participate in the continuous development of processes (including Lean) to increase efficiency,
effectiveness, accuracy, timeliness, quality and user friendliness as well as reflecting regulatory
change. Includes identification of opportunities, gaining approval, documentation, testing and
implementation.
- Ensure all work complies with the internal control framework
- Work as part of a team to deliver ad-hoc work as required
- Basic understanding of what is Insurance and how it works Desired Skill set
- Sound knowledge and hands on experience with Excel, MS- Access and MS- office.
- Knowledge of insurance concepts and basic accounting concepts.
