Job Overview

The Senior Executive - Dialysis Operations is responsible for managing daily unit operations, staff schedules, inventory supply chains, quality compliance (NABH/JCI), and patient billing to ensure seamless, compliant, and patient-centered clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility & Operational Management
  • Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day administrative functions of the dialysis unit, ensuring timely patient intake, shift scheduling, and machine turnarounds.
  • Machine Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration, and emergency repairs for dialysis equipment and the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water plant.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage consumables (dialyzers, blood tubing sets, catheters, fluids) to maintain optimal stock levels without stock-outs.
  • Quality, Audit & Compliance
  • Quality Standards: Enforce strict adherence to infection control protocols, unit hygiene, dialyzer reprocessing guidelines, and biomedical waste disposal.
  • Accreditation: Maintain all necessary logs, documentation, and audits required for NABH/JCI accreditation and government statutory regulations.
  • Incident Tracking: Log and escalate operational bottlenecks, clinical complications, or technical errors to the Chief Nephrologist and Medical Superintendent.
  • Patient Care Coordination & Billing
  • Patient Satisfaction: Act as the primary administrative point of contact for patient queries, complaints, and service feedback.
  • Revenue & Billing: Oversee daily patient billing, cash handling, insurance approvals (TPA), and government scheme claims.
  • Reporting & MIS: Generate weekly/monthly operational reports covering machine utilization, patient volume, infection rates, revenue metrics, and attrition rates.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Unit Utilization Rate: Target machine occupancy per shift.
  • Stock Turnaround & Zero Stock-outs: Zero treatment delays due to missing consumables.
  • Audit Compliance Score: >95% adherence to NABH/JCI clinical and administrative standards.
  • Patient Satisfaction Index (CSAT): High ratings on care efficiency, cleanliness, and staff response.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Healthcare Administration (BHA / MHA / MBA Healthcare) or B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology / Nursing with management experience.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in hospital operations, dialysis chains, or critical care management.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of RO water plant maintenance, NABH protocols, and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) / billing software.
  • Core Competencies: Inventory management, team leadership, vendor coordination, and strong crisis handling abilities.
