Position Overview (Sweet Karam Coffee India Pvt Ltd)
We are looking for a commercially astute Costing professional to analyze, control, and optimize product costs across our portfolio. The role works closely with cross-functional teams including NPD, Procurement, and Planning to drive COGS reduction and support strategic pricing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze product costs (raw materials, packaging, and conversion) and maintain standard cost sheets for each SKU.
- Track and explain cost differences (standard vs actual) and suggest improvements.
- Support pricing decisions with cost models and margin analysis.
- Work with NPD team on costing for new products and launches.
- Collaborate with procurement to find cost-saving opportunities and evaluate vendor pricing.
- Partner with production and planning teams to reduce wastage and improve efficiency.
- Assess make vs buy decisions and third-party manufacturing costs.
- Prepare monthly reports on product profitability and cost trends.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for product costs and margins.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification in Cost Accounting preferred.
- 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in product costing, preferably in FMCG, food, or consume goods manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, BOM structures, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with NPD, Procurement, and Planning teams on COGS reduction initiatives.
- Hands-on experience in product pricing, margin analysis, and commercial modeling.
- Advanced MS Excel skills; working knowledge of ERP costing modules (Tally, Zoho, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to commercial impact.
