JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for managing cost accounting processes and financial analysis activities to ensure accurate tracking and control of product costs, operational expenses, and financial performance. The role oversees maintenance of cost accounting records, cost allocation methodologies, and analysis of production and operational costs, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational financial policies. It supports preparation of cost reports, variance analysis, and financial performance insights to assist budgeting and strategic decision-making. The position contributes to ledger maintenance, transaction recording, and reconciliation of cost-related financial data, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. It also collaborates with finance and operational teams to strengthen cost control frameworks, financial transparency, and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions
- Execute cost accounting policies and standard operating procedures
- Prepare and analyze cost statements, variance reports, and reconciliations
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for cost centres
- Maintain ledger accounts and cost-related schedules
- Perform period close activities related to cost accounting
- Analyze cost trends and operational variances
- Assist in cost management & optimization initiatives
- Ensure accuracy of cost data used in financial reporting
- Maintain documentation for quality & audit readiness
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on cost planning and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) B.Com - Required
- Master Degree (MS/MA) MA - Preferred
Experience:
- 5 years or more in 5 - 8 Years
