- Checking concept of design, design criteria, Power requirement sheet and drawings at preliminary level. This includes checking of power, LT & HT side, BMS, IT, CCTV, Boom barriers, DFMD, elevator & escalators etc. electrical systems and its design calculations pertaining to Electrical detailing.
- Incorporating approved electrical layout from local approval body into final GFC drawing through consultants.
- Coordinating with liaison team, Design Consultant, Architect & Site team.
- Co-ordination with Electrical consultant for DBRs, design criteria & drawing.
- To review plans, details, specifications and cost estimate of internal & external electrical systems, air conditioning and general HT & LT works.
- To prepare preliminary budget for the project for HT & LT side of electrical works and electrical works pertaining to Plumbing, HVAC, firefighting, BMS, IT etc.
- Checking of BOQ with respect to finalized specification, drawing and DBR.
- To facilitate preparation of tender, addressing the tender queries & to carry out the technical negotiations.
- Wherever required prepare technical clarifications to the tendered design to suit specific on-site construction and co-ordination issues.
- Quality checking for Electrical works as per approved specifications, makes, types & testing etc.
- To provide technical advice to designers, supervisor, engineering team and contractors, regarding installation and maintenance of electrical System.
- Continually review the contractors construction schedule during the progress of site works with regards to electrical & related services and periodical report to the Project charge on the same.
- Perform the role as a document controller to ensure the filing/logging of the electrical related documentations.
- Advise on all issues regarding Green initiatives / LEED and ensure that the appropriate documentation and information is provided to the appropriate authorities Review, ensure engineering co-ordination & confirm Contractors installation method statements, shop drawings.
- To ensure quality work with good working practices
- To undertake off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary.
- Undertake a prior review of the Contractors proposed system testing & commissioning methods and schedule. Witness, review & ensure mechanical system final testing and commissioning.
- Attend project, site progress and any services related technical meetings.
- To advice on any electrical services, related to variable costs that may be claimed by the Contractor during the course of the works.
- Review and comment on the Contractors MARs, MIRs. Operation & Maintenance manuals etc.
- To prepare and deliver project status reports, weekly & monthly reports, oral presentations as may be required.
Preferred candidate profile
- knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and Project management software
- Shall be aware about the current norms, authority requirements and NBC.
- Shall have in-depth knowledge about the process, sequence & methods to be followed for execution.
- A person with high energy & action oriented with professional presence with high sense of urgency and a pro-active approach to problem solving
- Strong oral and written communication skills along with effective Customer interaction & report writing
- Knowledge of building systems, energy technologies, green building and high performance design
- Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused
- Knowledge of energy efficiency, performance contracting, commissioning, BIM or green building is a strong plus
