The Role

As part of our continued growth, LOXIM is expanding its pharmaceutical business and is looking for a proactive and customer-focused professional to support the growth of our API, pharmaceutical intermediates, and CMO/CDMO business across assigned territories.

The Senior Executive – API & Intermediates Sales & Business Development will play a key role in ensuring seamless execution of the sales process by managing customer enquiries, order processing, commercial documentation, shipment coordination, and receivables. The role serves as a vital link between customers and internal teams, ensuring timely order execution, effective communication, and an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sales team throughout the order lifecycle, from customer enquiry and order processing to receivables collection.
• Maintain accurate records of customer enquiries, order books, sales pipelines, and customer databases.
• Coordinate sample dispatches, proforma invoices, and customer follow-ups to support order conversion and advance payment collection.
• Receive purchase orders, review customer requirements, and issue order acknowledgements with committed delivery timelines.
• Obtain internal commercial approvals and create sales orders in accordance with approved pricing and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing teams regarding production status, dispatch schedules, and delivery commitments.
• Arrange and share pre-shipment documents with customers prior to invoicing and shipment execution.
• Coordinate customer sample requests, vendor qualification requirements, and supporting documentation with manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer technical, quality, and regulatory queries.
• Coordinate product return processes with Logistics, Quality Assurance, Finance, Commercial, and customer teams.
• Maintain sales data and prepare customer-specific MIS reports, sales analyses, and periodic business reports.
• Ensure timely communication with customers regarding order status, dispatch schedules, and documentation requirements.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required (approximately 15% of the time).

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience in API, pharmaceutical intermediates, sales support, business development, or commercial operations.
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, APIs, intermediates, regulatory requirements, and supply chain processes.
• Strong customer coordination and relationship management skills.
• Good understanding of commercial documentation, order processing, shipment coordination, and sales operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer responsiveness.
