Roles & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
- Air Operations & Coordination
- Manage end-to-end air operations activities including filing, documentation, coordination with airlines, and ensuring timely dispatch of shipments.
- Oversee accurate preparation, verification, and submission of air waybills (AWB), manifests, and regulatory documentation as per aviation and customs requirements.
- Coordinate with airline handling agents, ground staff, and internal teams to ensure smooth movement of inbound and outbound air cargo.
- Monitor flight schedules, delays, and capacity availability to optimize load planning and ensure timely uplift of consignments.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure 100% accuracy and timely completion of operational documents including delivery records, pick-up manifests, inspection reports, and shipment logs.
- Audit and verify customer documents such as customs paperwork, commercial invoices, and regulatory declarations.
- Maintain compliance with DGCA, customs, and local/state regulations related to air cargo handling, safety, and hazardous materials.
- Operational Efficiency
- Plan and prioritize daily operational tasks to meet TAT, service levels, and performance KPIs.
- Coordinate with the pickup/delivery teams to ensure shipments are moved in the correct flow and timelines are met.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular stock audits, reconciliations, and system updates.
- Utilize operational tools and scanning systems for accurate data recording, tracking, and reporting.
- Safety, Security & Quality
- Conduct pre- and post-operation checks to ensure safety compliance for cargo, equipment, and workplace.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, security, and quality standards during cargo handling and movement.
- Maintain secure handling of shipments and proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Address customer queries, shipment issues, and documentation clarifications promptly and professionally.
- Escalate concerns to the relevant teams when required and ensure resolutions within defined timelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, enhance operational flow, and support revenue generation through value-added services.
- Team Contribution & Productivity
- Support cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals and service commitments.
- Take initiative in identifying process gaps and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure 100% achievement of KPIs related to TAT, accuracy, service quality, and safety standards.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Any Graduate / Post-Graduate
- Experience in managing warehouse with at least 5-8 years experience.
