Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL Developer (Informatica) to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data integration and warehousing solutions using Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC.
- Implement data integration solutions supporting data warehousing, data migration, and data transformation needs.
- Work with various data sources including Mainframe, Salesforce, and cloud-based systems using Informatica PowerExchange.
- Utilize Informatica Web Services, XML, and Java Transformations for complex integrations.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, coding standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business users to translate requirements into scalable ETL solutions.
- Write and optimize SQL queries on Oracle or SQL Server databases.
- Develop UNIX/Linux shell scripts to support data integration and automation processes.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers across distributed teams.
- Support production processes, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement process improvements.
- Coordinate with international customers (especially US-based) for requirement analysis, support, and delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 57 years of hands-on experience in Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC development.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Informatica PowerExchange for Mainframe and other modern data sources.
- Experience with Informatica Web Services, XML, and Java Transformations.
- Strong SQL and database skills (Oracle or SQL Server preferred).
- Proficient in UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience leading or mentoring a cross-location development team.
- Experience working with US or international clients is a plus.
