Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Equity Research Analyst to join our research team and contribute to high-quality, independent investment research. The role requires a strong understanding of financial markets, company analysis, valuation and financial modelling, along with the ability to develop clear and differentiated investment views.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on companies, sectors and industries to identify investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain financial models, earnings forecasts and valuation frameworks.
  • Track company performance, earnings, management commentary, industry developments, macroeconomic factors and policy changes.
  • Develop and present investment ideas, research views and recommendations to support portfolio decisions.
  • Prepare research reports, investment notes, presentations and other market insights.
  • Engage with company management, industry participants, clients and other market stakeholders to develop deeper insights and maintain strong industry relationships.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and the investment team to align research with portfolio strategy.
  • Use AI tools and technology across the research process to improve efficiency, data analysis, information gathering and idea generation, while maintaining independent judgment.
  • Mentor and review the work of junior analysts and contribute to building the overall research capability of the team.
  • Represent the firm at client meetings, conferences, webinars and industry interactions.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years of relevant equity research experience, preferably with exposure to multiple sectors.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, valuation, earnings analysis and equity research.
  • Good understanding of Indian capital markets and broader global market trends.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to develop an independent investment thesis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and an established network across the industry would be an advantage.
  • An AI-first mindset — someone who actively explores AI tools to make research faster, deeper and more effective rather than using them only as a support tool.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the investment team.
  • CFA, CA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification preferred.
