Senior Environmental Expert (EIA & Baseline Specialist)

Position Objective:

The Senior Environmental Expert ensures that all surveyed mining activities are quantified against strict ecological parameters. This role is responsible for the design, execution, and reporting of all Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Baseline Surveys.

Core Responsibilities & Deliverables:

* Baseline Survey Design: Architect comprehensive Environmental Baseline Surveys encompassing ambient air quality, surface/groundwater hydrology, soil composition, and noise levels.

* Impact Assessment: Draft meticulous Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, identifying potential ecological degradation and proposing robust mitigation strategies.

* Rehabilitation Monitoring: Utilize spectral satellite data to monitor the effectiveness of vegetation rehabilitation and green belt development.

* Statutory Alignment: Ensure all environmental reporting formats strictly comply with the latest mandates from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and State Pollution Control Boards.

Mandatory Qualifications & Proven Experience:

* Academic Background: Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, or a closely related field.

* Professional Tenure: Minimum 8–10 years of dedicated experience executing EIAs specifically for Category A or B mining projects.

* Certifications: Must be approved as an EIA Coordinator (EC) or Functional Area Expert (FAE) by the Quality Council of India - National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (QCI-NABET).

* Demonstrated Success: Verifiable history of successfully guiding mining projects through the environmental clearance process.
