Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and model piping systems, equipment layouts, and pipe supports within the AVEVA E3D software.
- Produce various project deliverables, including general arrangement (GA) drawings, isometric drawings, and material take-offs (MTOs).
- Conduct interdisciplinary checks and clash detection to ensure design accuracy and resolve discrepancies, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards like ASME, ANSI, and ISO.
- Work closely with other design disciplines (e.g., structural, electrical, instrumentation) to achieve integrated design solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other piping designers and engineers.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure design alignment with project objectives and manage design tasks within project deadlines.
- Conduct piping studies based on design basis and equipment layouts for various projects.
- Strong proficiency in AVEVA E3D, with knowledge of AutoCAD also being beneficial.
- Familiarity with piping design, industry codes (ASME, ANSI, ISO), and best practices in piping system design.
- Ability to model piping, generate drawings, and understand stress requirements and equipment datasheets.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- 20+years experience in piping design, particularly in the oil and gas sectors.
