Role: Senior Engineering Manager - Platform
Location: Bengaluru
What you'll do
As the Senior Manager – Platform Engineering, you will lead MiQ's DevOps, Cloud and Security Engineering teams to build and scale robust, secure and efficient platform capabilities. You will be responsible for driving the engineering strategy that powers MiQ's applications, ensuring reliability, scalability and resilience across our systems and fostering collaboration between product, data and security teams.
Your Role Will Focus On
- Platform Strategy & Execution
○ Define and drive the roadmap for DevOps, Cloud and Security Engineering functions. ○ Build a high-performing platform infrastructure that enables product and data teams to innovate at speed and scale.
○ Partner with engineering and architecture teams to shape cloud-native, secure and cost-efficient solutions.
- Cloud & Infrastructure Management
○ Lead design and operation of highly scalable and available cloud environments ○ Implement infrastructure automation, observability and cost optimization frameworks. ○ Champion modern platform practices - Infrastructure as Code, container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, ECS) and CI/CD excellence.
- Security Engineering & Compliance
○ Embed security best practices within engineering and operations workflows. ○ Partner with InfoSec to ensure platform resilience, secure deployments and compliance with global standards (ISO 27001, SOC2).
○ Drive proactive vulnerability management and incident readiness.
- DevOps Excellence & Reliability
○ Build a culture of continuous improvement and reliability through automation, monitoring and proactive incident response.
○ Oversee the end-to-end CI/CD ecosystem, ensuring rapid yet safe releases. ○ Partner with product engineering teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance with deployment standards.
- Leadership & Collaboration
○ Lead, mentor and grow a team of DevOps, Cloud and Security engineers. ○ Collaborate closely with Data, Product and Architecture leads to align platform capabilities with business goals.
○ Drive engineering excellence, ownership, and innovation within the team.

Key stakeholders include Product Engineering Leads, Data & Analytics teams, Security & Compliance and Technology Leadership.
What you'll bring
- 12+ years of total experience in engineering, with at least 4+ years leading platform, DevOps, or infrastructure teams in a scalable organization.
- Deep technical expertise in cloud architecture and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, etc.).
- Experience partnering with InfoSec to ensure platform resilience, secure deployments and compliance with global standards (ISO 27001, SOC2).
- Proven track record in managing DevOps, Cloud and Security Engineering functions.
- Strong background in CI/CD, monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Sensu etc.) and automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of network, infrastructure, and security principles — including IAM, vulnerability management and compliance frameworks.
- Experience designing resilient and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure for large-scale distributed systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills with a focus on coaching and team development.
- Analytical thinker with a focus on problem-solving, strategic planning and operational excellence.
