Job Description/Roles
- Design of Transfer fingers and all related elements in 3D using Catia-V5
- Preparation of detailed 2D drawing using Catia-V5
- Preparation of BOM for designs in standard formats
- Study 2D/3D Die Layout, Process plan, Die Design requirements in view of EOAT (Transfer Fingers) design and able to foresee potential interferences/collision issues
- Understand Stamping plant/press specific requirements and implement in design
- Understand application of various standard components from different suppliers
- Interact with different functions when needed like Transfer Simulation team, Die Engineers, Plant Engineers etc.
- Adherence to design timelines
- Identify/Implement continuous improvement opportunities in Transfer Tooling design activities
- Maintain QMS related documentation and data management
Qualifications/Requirements
- B.E/B.Tech OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of related experience
- Strong CAD skills in CATIA V5
- Experience in Tool design for Transfer press is preferred
- Experience in Transfer Simulation is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge in Transfer press, Interference curves and production environment
- Knowledge of Press work and Stamping process related to Body-in-white parts is desirable
- Fluent in English speaking. Able to Read/Write English
