What You'll Do

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. As a standalone company, the Mobility business will be more focused and agile, creating exciting opportunities for employees to grow, innovate, and help shape the future of mobility. The separation reflects strong confidence in the Mobility team and positions the new company as an employer of choice in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

The purpose of this role is to support end‑to‑end vehicle system integration of Eaton Automated Manual Transmissions (AMTs) across a range of OEM chassis platforms, including applications with internal combustion engines and electrified powertrains. The role is responsible for defining and deploying functional and control strategies that optimize transmission performance, drivability, and overall vehicle behavior. This position involves close collaboration with OEM customers to understand and translate vehicle‑level and system‑level requirements into robust technical solutions. The role supports product development activities to ensure Eaton AMT systems meet customer, regulatory, and performance expectations across diverse duty cycles and vehicle applications.

In addition, the role contributes to broader Mobility initiatives, including the integration and development of new actuators, sub‑systems, and emerging product platforms, supporting Eaton's expansion into new technology spaces and future mobility solutions.

  • Work with engine/electric motor & vehicle OEMs to support the development & validation of system functionality & optimal performance with Eaton Automated Transmissions to Eaton & customer requirements/specifications.
  • Communicate Eaton transmission interface requirements to engine manufacturers & vehicle OEMs and assist in development and integration of optimum engine/motor/transmission performance.
  • Support performance guidelines, requirements, and specifications for vehicle OEMs, engine OEMs, and transmission product teams.
  • Provide/communicate to engine & transmission organizations with approval/rejection disposition of transmission compatibility with engine or vehicle versus performance requirements or customer expectations.
  • Identify root cause and corrective action associated with the engine or vehicle AMT-integration
  • Interface with end-user customers or field service to ensure optimal powertrain performance or to address engine/vehicle-transmission integration issues.
  • Support guidelines, requirements, and specifications for engine OEMs, truck OEMs, & transmission product teams.
  • Make use of engineering tools such as DFMEA,DFSS, DFM/DFA and Concurrent Engineering in order to attend organizational target of a flawless launch.
  • Analyze customer technical requirements and standards and adequately address eventual necessary changes to the engineering center responsible for the respective transmission platform and/or to Manufacturing, SCM, Quality, etc.
  • Eaton new systems development. Including new actuators and electronics system.
  • Good understanding FTA(Fault tree analysis), and able prepare failure list in different product lines in MD/HD transmission basebox.

Qualifications


Master's in electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics engineering with industry experience of over 3 tyears or Bachelors in electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics engineering with industry experience of over 5 years and good exposure to engineering research / analysis / product design in multi-disciplinary areas of auto / aero / hydraulic / electrical domain is essential. engineering organization.

+5 years of experience with multinational engineering organization

Skills

  • Six Sigma tools knowledge for product development;
  • Expertise on MatLab/Simulink and knowledge on CAN, CANalyzer and SAE J1939 communication standard, CANape;
  • Knowledge on new product development process and tools (DFMEA, DVP, DAP, Change Management, Concurrent Engineering, Design for Assembly);
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills;
  • ISO 26262, ASpice and ISO IATF standards awareness;
  • Digital Mindset, exploring new ways to solve problems with available technology.
  • Problem solving, including failure analysis;
  • Advanced English language skill;
  • Interpersonal communication skills and professional presence.
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter / self-motivated, strong communication skills, team player, adaptive, and results oriented.
  • Travel availability 35%.
