NST Cyber is Looking for:
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to design, build, and maintain scalable applications, APIs, distributed systems, and AI-enabled solutions. This is a fully remote position.
Key Requirements
- Strong expertise in either Node.js with TypeScript or typed Python.
- Experience with at least one framework: NestJS, Django, Laravel, or Ruby on Rails.
- Strong understanding of dependency injection, request lifecycle, module boundaries, authentication, validation, and error handling.
- Solid system-design skills, including synchronous vs asynchronous processing, queues, consistency models, scalability, retries, idempotency, timeouts, and failure handling.
- Practical knowledge of SOLID principles, clean architecture, TDD, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong knowledge of either Kafka or Amazon SQS, including delivery semantics, ordering, retries, dead-letter queues, consumer behaviour, and backpressure.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including indexing, query optimisation, execution plans, transactions, isolation levels, and schema migrations.
- Working knowledge of how React or Angular applications consume APIs, including authentication, pagination, state management, and error contracts.
- Ability to debug production issues using structured logs, metrics, and traces.
AI Engineering Fundamentals
- Basic understanding of LLMs, tokens, context windows, embeddings, vector search, and Retrieval- Augmented Generation.
- Experience integrating AI models through APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with prompt design, structured outputs, tool calling, model validation, and AI-assisted development.
- Awareness of hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage, privacy, security, and responsible AI practices.
- Basic understanding of AI evaluation, latency, token usage, cost monitoring, guardrails, and fallback mechanisms.
AWS Fundamentals
- Basic hands-on knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SQS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Understanding of cloud deployment, environment configuration, access control, logging, monitoring, and basic cost awareness.
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, sound engineering judgement, ownership, and effective remote collaboration.
