Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer with hands-on experience in electronic and opto-mechanical test equipment, system testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex equipment failures and coordinate with international engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and opto-mechanical test equipment.
• Perform system testing, validation, calibration, and performance verification.
• Support equipment assembly, installation, integration, and commissioning at customer sites.
• Operate test and measurement instruments, including DMMs, oscilloscopes, and theodolites.
• Apply optical alignment and calibration techniques, including autocollimation principles.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Conduct failure analysis and root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Read and review code using C# and Borland development environments to support code verification and updates in coordination with software developers.
• Coordinate with overseas test-equipment developers for remote troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.
• Support optical-system test setup, installation, and calibration.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate service and troubleshooting records.
• Travel across India as required for customer-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support.

Required Skills & Competencies

Electronic and opto-mechanical equipment troubleshooting

Electrical and mechanical drawing interpretation

DMM, oscilloscope, and theodolite operation

Optical alignment and autocollimation principles

Familiarity with C# and Borland development environments

Equipment installation, assembly, and commissioning

Technical documentation and reporting

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Background: Experience in defense, aerospace, electro-optical systems, precision instrumentation, or specialized test equipment will be an advantage.
