Job Summary

Perform structural engineering design and analysis for underground structures managing projects from planning through construction while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and calculations to develop clear design sketches and drawings for underground structures
Conduct engineering assessments and evaluations of existing structures and alternatives, preparing detailed technical reports
Prepare design briefs, technical reports, technical notes, and submission documents for regulatory authorities
Deliver cost-effective design solutions that comply with statutory regulations and client requirements
Coordinate with architects and consultants to resolve interface issues and provide technical clarifications
Prepare tender documents including conditions of contract, specifications, and tender drawings
Manage project activities across study, planning, design, tendering, and construction stages
Provide specialized technical solutions and expert advice to clients addressing complex engineering challenges
Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment
Communicate proactively and mentor team members to support their professional development

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in structural design for infrastructure or building projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or BIM software to enhance design productivity and accuracy
Strong project management skills to oversee project delivery and coordination
Registration with PEB Singapore is advantageous but not mandatory
