Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Engineer, based in Kochi. The Senior Engineer will oversee the maintenance and development of the club's infrastructure and facilities, ensuring systems are in optimal working condition. Responsibilities include managing engineering projects, supervising technical staff, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The position also involves developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules and collaborating with management to continuously enhance the club's facilities and services.
Key Responsibilities
- SLead and manage the Engineering & Maintenance Department.
- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, civil systems, and utility services.
- Ensure smooth operation of air-conditioning systems (Split / VRF), pumps, water supply, drainage, and power distribution.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), ensuring proper treatment, discharge, and reuse as per statutory norms.
- Monitor STP parameters, coordinate desludging activities, and ensure safe handling and disposal of treated water and waste.
- Ensure compliance with pollution control board guidelines related to STP operations and environmental standards.
- Monitor backup power systems, lighting, earthing, and safety installations.
- Ensure fire safety systems, alarms, and basic statutory requirements are installed, maintained, and functional.
- Plan and implement annual maintenance schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for AMCs, STP maintenance, repairs, and major works.
- Supervise engineers, technicians, and support staff; allocate duties and review performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, STP logs, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Provide technical support for renovations, new installations, facility upgrades, and utility enhancements.
- Act as the technical point of contact for management reviews, statutory inspections, and environmental audits.
- Ensure energy efficiency, water conservation, cost control, and safe working practices across the premises.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 812 years of experience in facility management, hotels, clubs, or large commercial establishments.
- Hands-on experience in STP operations and maintenance will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical installations, plumbing, fire safety, STP, and general maintenance operations.
- Proven leadership, supervisory, and team management skills.
